Before I begin the planning of a unit I go through the Ontario Curriculum Document for that particular subject area and review all of the expectations that the students are required to know.
From there I decide what our end goal will look like and need to include based off of these expectations, and come up with a summative task that we will work towards as a class. I found it most effective to group specific expectations that flowed or went well together to ensure the unit ran as fluidly as possibly in a way that was effective and made sense to the students.

- One of the lesson plans I created for the unit
- The culminating task
- One type of assessment I created and used to help gauge student understanding
